Spector Re-Trial Set To Begin Wednesday

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

LOS ANGELES — In a new trial with a new jury, it’s time to retell the strange story of an eccentric music producer and the beautiful blond actress who wound up dead at his home.

It has been more than five years since Lana Clarkson’s life ended in Phil Spector’s grand foyer.

And starting with opening statements Wednesday, for the second time, prosecutors plan to argue that Spector killed Clarkson after a night at various luxurious watering holes.

Among those testifying again for prosecutors will be Spector’s chauffeur.

He’s expected to tell of delivering the two home, hearing a shot and seeing his boss emerge with a gun saying, “I think I killed somebody.”

Last time, the defense argued Clarkson killed herself because her acting career was fading.

Spector’s first trial ended in a mistrial after the jury deadlocked. (Read the full post about ‘Spector Re-Trial Set To Begin Wednesday’…)
