SHELBY CO., Ky — Shelby County Officials are searching for a woman who escaped from prison Thursday.

Anita Thomas disappeared from the Kentucky Correctional Institute for Women around 9:00 last night.

Thomas was serving a 28 year sentence for fraudulent use of a credit card and theft by deception in Jefferson County.

If you think you may have seen Thomas or know her where-abouts, you’re asked to call Shelby County Police at 502-633-2323.
